Intended
The essence of the Buddha’s teaching chanting “Nam Myoho Renge Kyo” intended for our time reflects each individual’s capacity and authority to reveal their intent to attain the Buddha way.
Nichiren Daishonin writes: “When we
ordinary mortals, persons of incorrigible disbelief who are constantly drowned in delusion and suffering, desire to take faith in the Lotus Sutra, this is a sign that the Buddha nature within us is beginning to manifest itself. Therefore the Great Teacher Miao-lo says: “If there is no perfuming by the true reality within us, then how can enlightenment come about? Hence one should understand that the power that brings about enlightenment is this true reality. Buddha wisdom and compassion is inconceivable yet we each open our potential chanting “Nam Myoho Renge Kyo” revealing Buddha nature in each moment of daily life.
